No electrical system can be considered ‘safe’ for use until it has been inspected, tested and certified. Generally existing installations deteriorate over time and use and should be tested on a scheduled basis, to ensure compliance with BS 7671. This type of certification is increasingly being required by Insurance Companies and local HSE departments.

The IEE Wiring Regulations, known as BS 7671, requires that all electrical works in the UK to conform to a statutory Act of Parliament the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. BS 7671 covers the design, selection, erection, inspection and testing of electrical installations. The Electrical Installation Certificate provides written confirmation that the electrical installation work to which it relates has been designed, constructed, and inspected and tested in accordance with BS 7671

Our Inspection and Testing Teams have acquired vast experience and knowledge in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors. We are able to provide a complete survey, testing and report package to suit all clients needs, through a systematic approach using qualified personnel. All of our Testing Engineers are time served electricians qualified to City and Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations) standard. This enables any essential remedial works to be undertaken on site if required and an experienced approach applied at all times. Inspection and Testing not only ensures compliance with current wiring regulations but can be used as a key factor in preventative maintenance, energy reduction, employee safety, fire prevention and insurance purposes. As all electrical installations deteriorate with age and use, an established system of scheduled periodic inspections should always be in place.
